A little about me!
I grew up in a small town in Upstate New York and earned my Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University at Buffalo in 2002. After graduation, I joined AmeriCorps—much like the Peace Corps, but serving here in the U.S. (Let’s just say my dad had mixed feelings about that decision!) I was matched with Habitat for Humanity in Jacksonville, Florida, where I trained and worked alongside volunteers to build homes for families in need. A year later, I moved to Philadelphia to become a restoration builder with Habitat for Humanity of Philadelphia, where my love of old homes and meaningful design really took root.
In 2007, I made the tough but necessary choice to find a job that paid the bills, and I left snowy Philly for sunny Florida. I worked as a project manager for a national home builder until the birth of my daughter, Avery, in 2013. She came home after a 107-day NICU stay, and with my maternity leave long gone, I left my job to stay home with her—something I’d always dreamed of.
To help supplement our income, I began refinishing and repainting furniture and selling it on Marketplace. One day, I received a message asking if I sold my pieces in any local vintage shops. I remember telling my husband how amazing it would be if that little side hustle could grow into something bigger… and amazingly, it did! That message came from the owner of one of the best vintage and home décor shops in the area. After some vetting, I became a vendor at Rehab Vintage Market—and have been proudly part of it for over 10 years. My work has allowed me to also be home to raise Avery, as I was raised. A literal dream come true for me and my family!
That little dream has grown into a true family business. Along the way my momma moved to town, and along with upholstering pieces alongside me, she has sewed her way into so many of your homes, creating beautiful handmade table runners, pillows, tea towels and cozies! My husband—without ever being asked—became my fixer, sander, and picker-upper. And me? I’m the creative—the one who chooses the furniture, fabric, and colors, finds the vintage treasures, styles and stages the spaces, and captures it all through photography.
Thanks to you, I’ve had the honor of stepping into many of your homes to design, refresh, and reimagine your spaces. With my background in architecture and building, and our team’s focus on quality and care, we’re proud of the work we’ve done—and excited for what’s to come. As my grandpa used to say, “Anything worth doing is worth doing right.”
So there it is, dreams coming true and wishes being granted! It hasn't always been easy, but it has always been worth it. Thank you for being part of this dream. I can’t wait to help bring yours to life.
